I remember…
On the last day of Pastor Olson’s stay, a Sunday [in 1960], he used
Genesis 28:10-17, Jacob’s dream at Bethel, as his sermon text: “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” He emphasized how the congregation and its building had been precisely that for many in the past and could continue to be that in the future.
